NORTH CAROLINA BASKETBALL ESCAPES NCAA SANCTIONS

North Carolina basketball and coach. Roy Williams will not be hit with any sanctions from the NCAA for "creative" Department Of Afro American Studies. This was the department that gave many basketball players all A's and B's for not attending any classes.  This was the department that did the work for many players when they were actually required to do so.  It was reported that one player actually made the Dean"s List and never went to a class.  Of course coach Williams denied any knowledge of such goings on, but it was always my understanding that coaches kept a close watch on all their players courses and how they were progressing in order to avoid academic ineligibility.
This would seem to be a simple task for Williams since he only has to be be concerned with 15 players.  The NCAA stated that they could not prove that this "creative" department was made for athletes only.  Who did they think the courses were for?  Non athletes did benefit I am sure, but they still did their own assignments and attended classes.  NCAA head honcho, Mark Emmert and his cronies have once again proven to protect some athletic programs and others to be under their close scrutiny.  We all know that Emmert does not care for the likes of USC, Penn State or Miami for example and has gone out of his way to protect the likes of LSU.  Now we can add North Carolina to that list.  Apparently North Carolina coach, Roy Williams has untouchable status with the NCAA.

The ncaa act like they set the example for everything fair and equal. What a joke. They let teams and coaches off the hook just like the pro league sports do
