Let me be clear that I truly do not care who will be the NCAA basketball champion this year.
After watching the first half of the Gonzaga/Xavier game, it seems apparent that Gonzaga has already been picked to advance. Numerous times, Xavier has had good positioning for getting rebounds, only to have the ball taken away from a Gonzaga player clearly going over the back. You guessed it
NO OVER THE BACK....NO FOUL. The officials are allowing Gonzaga to pretty much what they want to do. Karnowski pushes players around and no calls. He even was the benefit of an offensive
foul call when it was apparent that he was the one committing the foul.
We can only hope that the officiating will improve in the second half or at least be equal and fair.
Based on the first half. this game was already decided before the opening tip.
