A FEW THOUGHTS FROM THE WORLD OF SPORTS

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS     LeBron James stated that he has never undermined a coach during his playing days from grade school to the present.  I have to wonder how one would describe what James would do during a time out and clearly be off to the side somewhere and not paying attention to former coach, David Blatt.  Could it be considered undermining the coach when you disregard the play he calls and just go out and do what you want?  I would think that would be a yes.  LeBron certainly lived up to the title of "Coach Killer" when it came to David Blatt.  James forced Blatt out and hand picked, Tyronn Lue as his replacement.  When asked if he would run things similar to that of Blatt, Lue responded by saying "not similar, but better"  Lue's big ego should fit quite nicely in being LeBron's assistant coach.  Yes I did say assistant.

JOHNNY MANZIEL      Manziel was back in the news and once again for another wrong reason,  It appears there was some domestic altercation with his ex girlfriend.  If true, this will be the second time of such an incident and supposedly the NFL is looking into it. I have to wonder what NFL team would want him on their roster.  Clearly the Cleveland Browns want nothing more to do with Manziel and it is only a matter of time until they sever ties with him.  It would be best if all 32 NFL teams passed on Manziel, forcing him to sit out a year,  Maybe not being a part of any team for a year might give everyone a better indication of what Manziel truly wants to do with his life.

NCAA     I saw where the NCAA has given President, Mark Emmert a 3 year extension on his current contract.  It should be interesting to see how many more law suits will be filed against them for their underhanded dealings under his leadership.

NFL     Did anyone actually watch the Pro Bowl game this past Sunday?  Does anyone really care that this meaningless exhibition takes place?

NCAA BASKETBALL OFFICIALS     It used to be that one could pretty much figure on spending 2 hours watching their favorite team on TV.  With some rule changes and an abundance of officials who truly think we have turned on our TV s just to watch them blow their whistle all night, the 2 hour window is long gone.  I have actually watched a foul being called on a player who clearly never touched anyone.  Too many fouls being called, too many foul shots being shot, games lasting too long all add up to one thing   LET THE PLAYERS PLAY

FOX SPORTS     Greg Norman will be replaced this season as  the golf analyst for their telecasts.
Admittedly, Norman did not add much from the booth but Fox needed to take one bigger step and find a replacement for their All American do it all announcer, Joe Buck.  As bad as Norman was, Buck was no better.  Bring back NBC with Dan Hicks and Johnny Miller.

SEASON CRYING TOWEL AWARDS     As football has come to a close with the exception of the Super Bowl, it is time to award our coaches crying towel awards for the season
NFL AWARD                 John Harbaugh          Baltimore Ravens
NCAA AWARD             Jim Harbaugh            University of Michigan

Leebron got the alzheimer's. I guess he forgot about the undermining job he did on former Cavs coach.

College basketball has become watered down with foul calls. Streetball days are long gone now

Lebron James should be added to your cry list. It's how he got Blatt out.

I remember when Jordan ,Bryant, Magic, and Bird had their coaches fired, oh wait that's right, they never did that. Only James. The others just played the game, and much better than James ever will

The Kansas game was a prime example of referee game interference. I stopped watching it

The probowl sucks. Even the players don't want to go. They had to call up 2nd and 3rd round picks just to make it happen

I didn't know they've even played it yet.

the NCAA is great at talking up the good things they do and hiding most of the bad things

I agree. No player takes it seriously so why would I want to watch it
