NO MIRACLE SEASON FOR HARBAUGH AT MICHIGAN

Michigan fans could not wait to get Jim Harbaugh into Ann Arbor as their next football coach.  He was to be the savior to the once proud football program.  The Wolverines finished 9-3 this season under the leadership of Harbaugh's first year as head coach.  Many teams would be elated to have a  9-3 season, but one would have to question if it met the high expectations of the Michigan fan base...

Looking at their schedule, Michigan's best wins were probably the 31-0 victory over Brigham Young and the 38-0 win over Northwestern being the most impressive.
Brigham Young's other losses came at the hands of UCLA and Missouri, but their wins were not over significant opponents, making the Michigan win a little less impressive.  The two main opponents and by far the most important on the schedule were Michigan State and Ohio State,  resulted in two losses.  A heartbreaking loss to State 27-23,  along with getting blown out by Ohio State 42-13, will not sit well with the Wolverine fans for a whole year.  Michigan defeated the teams  they were expected to win over, but lost the 2 most important games on the schedule.  Even former hated coach, Rich Rodriguez probably could have accomplished that much with this years team.  In other words, there were no miracles under the leadership of Jim Harbaugh.  I am sure many are hoping for much better next season.

I was one of the few that didn't want Harbaugh, Michigan is lucky theyve had an easier schedule so far otherwise they wouldn't have the record they do.
