Passing along a few thoughts that come to mind from the sports world.
GOLF Maybe it is time for the media to stop writing about, Tiger Woods' golf game At best, it would be questionable if he can even be considered an average golfer today. Many months ago, I predicted that Woods would not break, Jack Nicklaus' record for most major tournaments won and even took it a little further in saying I did not think he would even win one more major. That being said, I never thought he would have trouble making the cuts in these major events. Maybe it is time for the media to leave the man alone and let him attempt to get his game together, rather than him worrying about the media's expectations.
ESPN ESPY AWARDS Many sports related awards were given out the other night, but there were 2 that I did not agree with. First was, Caitlin Jenner (Formerly Bruce Jenner) receiving the, Arthur Ashe Award for courage. Recently, Jenner decided that he wanted to change his gender and become a woman. I could care less whether he wanted to become a woman or even a dog for that matter, but just do not see how this qualifies him/her to receive this prestigious award. The other award in question was, LeBron James getting the Outstanding Championship Award. I am not taking anything away from James' performance in the NBA finals, but his team did not win the championship. If the award was to go to an NBA player, then I feel Stephen Curry would have been my choice. At least, his team won. Even the horse, American Pharoah, who won the Triple Crown in racing would have been a better choice than James.
BASEBALL For this years all star game, the fans voted for the four greatest living players. The four players honored were: Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Johnny Bench, and Sandy Koufax. Personally, I have no argument with any of those selections. There was an article that followed that stated the greatest player of all time was not on that list. According to that writer, the greatest player of all time was none other than, Barry Bonds. There is no way that I could ever appreciate the accomplishments of any athlete that used any form of enhanced drugs. The four players voted did everything solely based on their talent.
FOOTBALL The USA today recently rated the NFL QB's for this season. Ratings were for all teams from # 1 to # 32. It came as no surprise that Johnny "Football" Manziel did not appear anywhere on that list. After all the hype Manziel has gotten over the last few years, it is hard to believe it appears that he has become the forgotten man. Maybe I was right after all when I kept saying how overrated he was.
AS ALWAYS, ALL COMMENTS ARE WELCOMED

Manziel gets more attention from what he does off the field than on it and usually involves some type of controversy.
They say the same thing about Tiger Woods every week. He isn't on his game, that's obvious. The next report we should hear about Woods is if he wins something, otherwise its not really news.
The 4 honored at the all-star game were great natural ball players. Barry Bonds was a great manufactured product of steroids. Did Bonds son write the article?
bonds, mcguire, rodriguez, sosa, and a few others should have their own p.e.d. awards
IF someone suggested that Bary Bonds should stand next to those 4 players they should ban the person that made the suggestion from going to or watching baseball games for life
Manziel still plays football? ? ?
Pete Rose should be out there before Barry Bonds
TWoods needs to get back to basics. He should play local courses and work on his game there.
I don't really care either way about jenner getting the award cause the biggest moments of the espys already happened earlier in the night.
ha ha. I agree 1000%.
I doubt you'll see him playing some $40 public course real soon.
i would've voted for the horse
