The USGA encourages golfers to play more and to the avid golfer, many would like to experience a few of the courses that the pros play. These courses however tend to be on the expensive side and truly not for everyone. A few examples of the pros tournament courses are as follows:
Pebble Beach.................................$ 530.00
TPC Sawgrass................................$ 375.00
Pinehurst # 2..................................$ 410.00
Kiawah Island (Ocean Course).......$370.00.
Chambers Bay.................................$ 299.00 (walking only) but caddies available for $80 to $100
Course was just recently the site of this years US Open.
If these courses are not available to anyone, there are many more good courses worth paying for
at more reasonable rates. A few examples are as follows:
Seaview Golf Club (Bay Course) Galloway, NJ.........................$ 99.00..........$ 148.00 for 36 holes same day. Course sits across the bay from Atlantic City and is the home of the LPGA, Shop Rite Classic.
Toftrees Golf Resort State College, PA..........$55.00 to $63.75 or $46.75 after 3:00 PM...Tee times can be made on Golfnow.com
Coronado Golf Club Coronado, CA..........$53.00 plus a $16.25 online booking fee on their site. Course is a 10 minute drive from San Diego
Hawks Landing Orlando, Fl............$55.00 or $49.00 after 2:00 PM. Course is part of the Marriott
World Center hotel, close to Disney Village and tee times can be made on Golfnow.com.

I played Kiawah before. When I played it was under $300. Nice course but I'm not sure worth the $300
I won't play mini golf courses over $10 so I highly doubt that I play any of these
Some aren't too bad. Its only the pro tour courses that make you pay to wazoooo.
I'd luv to play some of those top courses but they are WAY beyond my golf-playing-budget
That's some good info. I may have to try some of these courses out.
i played a course called seagrass for $21. i never played the sawgrass one though
I've played lower priced courses and a couple of the higher priced courses and in some cases the lower priced courses were every bit as good as the higher priced ones in my opinion
Nice selection of courses. I'll have to look them up when I'm in some of those areas
Hahahaha...Pebble Beach. does playing there also include living there for a month? that's $60 shy of what I pay in rent
cost is one thing but frustration is another. I'd go crazy trying to play some of those top ranked courses
