A FEW THOUGHTS FROM THE WORLD OF SPORTS

From time to time a few things may come up that draws some interest to comment on.
Here are a few I will share with you.

GOLF..........Jordan Spieth was nothing less than masterful in his record setting win at Augusta.  Already he has jumped to the # 2 rated golfer in the world behind, Rory McIlroy.  Imagine the hype this young man will get if he should happen to win the US Open or one of the other major tournaments this year.
Tiger Woods had a very good tournament considering where he was the last time we saw him at Torrey Pines.  I was happy for him since he needed something positive from golf as well as his mental state.  Before we all get excited that Tiger is back to his old ways, remember he finished in 17th and did not fair well against McIlroy in the final round shooting 73 to Rory's 66.  Tiger spoke of improving afterwards which is a good thing, but improving is not winning as he was accustomed to do.

NBA............The last 2 weeks it is difficult to predict what teams are taking their games serious and which are not.  For that reason we are holding off on any further game predictions until Saturday when the playoffs will begin.  Imagine considering last nights Vegas line that put Boston as a 10 point favorite over Cleveland.  The line was bad enough but then Cleveland loses by 39 points.  Cleveland decided not to play their starters and it showed.  Other teams have been doing the same.

FOOTBALL........Johnny Manziel is out of rehab.  We wish him the best as his life moves forward.
Loyal Manziel fans no doubt are excited about his return to playing football.  Not sure what his future will be in Cleveland or anywhere else as it appears many are questioning his NFL ability. I admit, I am one of the many.

BASKETBALL..........Kentucky could not win the National Championship this year, but they still will have  at least 7 players leaving school for the NBA draft.  Honestly I do not see 7 qualified players ready for the NBA.  One thing is for sure is, Calipari needs a few to move on just to make room for his incoming crop of Parade All Americans.

BASEBALL.....A Rod is closing in on, Willie Mays home run total of 660.  For that achievement, he is to receive a bonus of 6 million dollars.  The Yankees may challenge that agreement considering
A Rod's methods of achievement.  It is truly sad to see A Rod's name in the same sentence with, Willie Mays.  Mays was a true baseball great and not the cheater and liar that we saw in A Rod.
As a further note, Barry Bonds has stated that when A Rod passes Mays' 660, there is reason to celebrate.  I would not expect anything less a statement coming from one PED user about another.

That is all for now, but as always we welcome any comments on these subjects or any other regarding sports.

A-ROD is A-CHEAT and is lucky to even be playing baseball. He should not be recognized for any records he breaks

NBA has hit its boring time of the season for teams who are already in the playoffs.

It was an exciting masters tournament this year. Woods return and the level of play that Spieth played at - - you couldn't ask for anything more.

I'm guessing he may get a shot since they seemed to bad mouth their starter at the end of last season

The NBA is a whoel entire different level. So many college players are in a hurry to get there and they don't realize how unprepared they are. Some of them 7 Kentucky players will experience this.

I might not watch baseball again if they let A-FRAUD break any records
