STEELERS TELL RB LEGARRETTE BLOUNT TO KEEP ON WALKING

Over the years the Pittsburgh Steelers have been known as a no nonsense organization.  In other words if a player creates some sort of a distraction that is not in the best interest of the team, that player can pretty much figure their future in Pittsburgh will not be long lived.  Today was no exception.  Before last nights game with the Tennessee Titans in Nashville came to an end, RB LeGarrette Blount walked off the field and into the locker room.  By the time the game was over and the team entered the locker room, Blount was already dressed and heading for the team bus, only to be stopped   by assistant coach, Joey Porter and advised that might not be the best of ideas.  It appears that Blount has been openly upset about his amount of playing time, even though starting RB LeVeon Bell has been quite successful of late, including 33 carries for 204 yards in last nights game.  It has been reported that Blount has been a distraction to the team over the past month to the point that several players were hoping the Steelers would cut him.  Blount was getting paid 3.9 million for a 2 year deal,  so one might feel that would be enough to satisfy his ego.  Today, Blount does not have to worry about how many times he will get the ball and the Steelers no longer have to deal with an apparent distraction.  LeGarrette Blount has learned that if you walk out on the Steelers, they will gladly show you the way  to keep on going.

No team with a franchise like the Steelers would accept a team member walking out on a game. It was a good move to release the guy.
