Tim Beckman......Illinois Looks like Beckman will hold on to his job after closing the season with wins over Northwestern and Penn State. Feel sorry for the Illinois fans now that they will have to put up with him for another year.
Brian Kelly.........Notre Dame Great finish by the Irish in losing their last 4 games. One can only wonder who Kelly will blame for this collapse. Surely he will not hold himself accountable since that is not his style.
Bo Pelini..........Nebraska Just fired after 7 years as head coach. Pelini won at least 9 games in each of the 7 years, so he truly must have upset some very improtant people.
Brady Hoke..........Michigan Only a matter of time until Hoke has the hammer dropped on him. Little surprised he made it through the whole season.
DOWN AND OUT
Mississippi State and Marshall are totally out of the playoff picture. Actually, Marshall never was a consideration for the final 4, but a very few thought the unbeaten record should have gotten national recognition. Marshall needs to beef up their future schedule and the loss to Western Kentucky might be enough to drop them out of the top 25. Mississippi State had a good season but all along I just could not see them being ranked as high as they have been. A top 10 team maybe, but definitely not one of the top 4.

can't even believe Hoke is staying alive, I thought he was going to be canned weeks ago
I agree with the conference officials but the ACC needs to be in there too. They miss the obvious ones and call the ones that nobody else can see
