BIG 12 FOOTBALL OFFICIALS DO NOT KNOW WHAT A FACE MASK CALL IS

West Virginia QB, Clint Trickett was attempting to elude TCU defensive end, Josh Carraaway after being forced out of the pocket.  After gaining a few yards, Carraway was able to catch up to Trickett and bring him down.  One big problem with this play was Carraway was able to tackle Trickett by blatantly grabbing hold of the face mask, twisting Trickett's head and neck and holding on until he had the WVU player down.
The play took place in the open field for everyone to plainly witness either from the stands or on national TV.
Surprising that Trickett was not seriously injured on the play and even more surprising that there was no penalty call.  Some how  the men in the striped shirts either missed this obvious penalty or they just did not want to be bothered.  Either way we can only describe these officials capabilities and professionalism with one word,

PATHETIC
